Ana Paula dos Reis

Adjunct professor at the Collective Health Institute, Federal University of Bahia, and current coordinator of MUSA ? Integrated Program for Research and Technical Cooperation in Gender and Health (MUSA). Coordinator of the Gender and Health WG at ABRASCO (Brazilian Association of Collective Health). Doctor in Social Sciences (2018, UFBA/PPGS) and Master in Collective Health (2000), with a concentration in Social Sciences and Health, at the Institute of Collective Health (ISC/UFBA), I have advanced in Research Methodology in Gender, Sexuality and Reproductive Health and a degree in Social Sciences (UFBA). Held sandwich doctoral internship at the Social Anthropology School of Social Sciences, The University of Manchester (2015), by the Sandwich Doctoral Program at CAPES exterior. My professional trajectory is marked by the simultaneous carrying out of research, higher education, extension, management and planning activities in public institutions and universities. In addition to academic activities, during fifteen years I've carried out research and analysis for United Nations (like as Unesco and UNFPA), public institutions, universities. I worked also in Angola, Africa as Planning and Research Director at MLINK Comunicação e Propaganda and was responsible, among other functions, for the executive coordination of the communication and marketing project of the country's first General Census of Population and Housing, since the end of colonial times , as well as in serving the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Planning and Ministry of Family, etc., in the formulation of social communication campaigns aimed at raising awareness among the population about disease prevention, combating sexual and domestic violence, encouraging schooling and professionalization, among others. I was a sanitarist at the State Health Department of the State of Bahia, participating in the planning, monitoring, and management of the State Program on STI, HIV/AIDS and Viral Hepatitis. I'm working in the areas of Social Sciences and Health, Gender and Health, Reproductive Health, Anthropology of Reproduction, Anthropology of Medicine, and Public Health.
Docente adjunta do Instituto de Saúde Coletiva, da Universidade Federal da Bahia, e atual coordenadora do MUSA ? Programa Integrado de Pesquisa e Cooperação Técnica em Gênero e Saúde (MUSA) e do GT Gênero e Saúde da ABRASCO (Associação Brasileira de Saúde Coletiva). Com a professora Cláudia Bonam, lidera o grupo de pesquisa "Reprodução, Gênero e Justiça Reprodutiva (http://dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/718133). Com a professora Estela aquino, lidera o grupo MUSA- Programa de Estudos em Gênero e Saúde ( http://dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/15250) .
