Anna Helena Reali Costa is a full professor at the Escola Politécnica of the Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil. He obtained a doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the Escola Politécnica of the Universidade de São Paulo, a master's degree and an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, both from the FEI University Center, in São Bernardo do Campo, SP. She was a visiting researcher at Karlsruhe University in 1983-1985 and 1991-1992, working on robotic vision and intelligent mobile robots with Prof Dr-Ing. Ulrich Rembold at the Institut für Prozessrechentechnik und Robotik (IPR) of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Karlsruhe, Germany. She held a postdoctoral degree at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), USA, in 1998-1999, working with Prof. Manuela Veloso in planning and learning for intelligent mobile robots. Her main interests lie in artificial intelligence, in particular real-time learning, especially reinforcement learning.

Obteve o doutorado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo, o mestrado e a graduação em Engenharia Elétrica, ambos pelo Centro Universitário FEI, em São Bernardo do Campo, SP. Foi pesquisadora visitante na Universidade de Karlsruhe, em 1983-1985 e 1991-1992, trabalhando em visão computacional e robôs móveis inteligentes, com o Prof Dr-Ing. Ulrich Rembold no Institut für Prozessrechentechnik und Robotik (IPR) do Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Karlsruhe, Alemanha. Realizou pós-doutorado na Universidade Carnegie Mellon (CMU), EUA, em 1998-1999, trabalhando com a Profa. Manuela Veloso em planejamento e aprendizagem para robôs móveis inteligentes. Seus interesses principais residem em inteligência artificial, em particular em aprendizagem em tempo real, especialmente o aprendizado por reforço.
