Renata Silva-Mann is full Professor at the Federal University of Sergipe. She obtained her Ph.D. in Agronomy (Crop Science) from the Federal University of Lavras in 2002. During her Ph.D., she did a research internship in the field of molecular genetics and breeding at the Brigham Young University (BYU-Utah/USA) (Sandwich Ph.D. - CAPES) under the supervision of Mikel Ross Stevens. She conducted a postdoctoral internship at the Wageningen Research University (WUR). She works in the areas of Genetics and Breeding, Population Genetics, Seed Technology, and Intellectual Property. She supervises students in the Graduate Programs in Agriculture and Biodiversity (PPGAGRI). She serves as a Counselor of Crea-SE - Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy of Sergipe, Specialized Chamber of Agronomy. She is a member of the Advisory Chamber of the Foundation for Research and Technological Innovation of the State of Sergipe - FAPITEC/SE. She served as the Coordinator of International Affairs at UFS. She is a member of the Permanent Commission for Internationalization of the Vice-Rectorate for Graduate Studies and Research - COMPIN. She is a member of the Advisory Committee for joining the Carolina Bori Platform in undergraduate studies. She serves as a mentor in the project "Agricultural Professional Residency: from the Federal University of Sergipe to the Job Market," a partnership between UFS and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. She is a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Committee (COMPITEC-UFS).
É professora titular da Universidade Federal de Sergipe. Doutorado em Agronomia (Fitotecnia) pela Universidade Federal de Lavras em 2002. Durante o doutorado estagiou na área de genética molecular e melhoramento na Brigham Young University (BYU-Utah/EUA) (doutorado Sanduíche-CAPES) sob supervisão de Mikel Ross Stevens. Realizou estágio pós-doutoral na Wageningen Research University (WUR). Atua nas áreas de Genética e Melhoramento, Genética de Populações, Tecnologia de Sementes e Propriedade Intelectual. Orienta no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Agricultura e Biodiversidade (PPGAGRI). Atua como Conselheira do Crea-SE Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia de Sergipe, Câmara Especializada de Agronomia. Atuou como membro da Câmara de assessoramento da Fundação de Apoio à Pesquisa e à Inovação Tecnológica do Estado de Sergipe - FAPITEC/SE. Atuou como Coordenadora de Assuntos Internacionais da UFS. É membro da Comissão Permanente de Internacionalização da Pró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa- COMPIN. É membro do Comitê de Assessoramento para adesão à Plataforma Carolina Bori na graduação. Atuou como orientadora junto ao Projeto "Residência Profissional Agrícola: da Universidade Federal de Sergipe para o Mercado de Trabalho", parceria da UFS com o Ministério da Agricultura e Pecuária. É membro da Comissão de Propriedade Intelectual e Transferência de Tecnologia (COMPITEC) da UFS.
