It has a Bachelor degree in physics - University of São Paulo ( USP)-São Carlos (1980), Master in Physics - USP-São Carlos (1984), PhD in physics at the USP-São Carlos (1990). Today is Associate Professor (MS5) in the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), School of Chemical Engineering at the Department of Materials and Bioprocess Engineering. He has experience in Applied Physics at the Materials Science, with emphasis on Polymers, acting mainly on synthesis and / or modification of polymer and conductive polymers. To highlight the polifluoreto of vinylidene (PVDF) polymer and its applications, based on the ferroelectricity phenomena in the transducers construction. Searches in the area: (i) surface treatment of polymer (thermofixed and elastomers), promoting properties of adhesion and wetting, with techniques of corona discharge and ultraviolet; (ii) treatment of liquid and gaseous effluents, using the techniques of electroflotation apply to industries (oil refinery, paper, textiles, etc.); (iii) porperties modification of polymeric materials used in the textile industry (fibers, woven and no woven), and (iv) ferroelectric polymers, for example polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), implemented in transducers and sensors.
Possui graduação em Bacharelado em Física - USP - São Carlos pela Universidade de São Paulo (1980), mestrado em Física pela Universidade de São Paulo (1984) e doutorado em Física pela Universidade de São Paulo (1990).
