Wellison Jarles da Silva Diniz

I am an Animal Scientist, currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Sciences at Auburn University - AL. Previously, I was a PostDoc Research Fellow in the Department of Animal Sciences at the North Dakota State University, Fargo. I earned a Ph.D. in Evolutionary Genetics and Molecular Biology (Federal University of São Carlos - UFSCar, Brazil), with a full year training (FAPESP 17/20761-7) in genomics data integration and systems biology analysis at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in the Quantitative Genetics, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology research group (QBC). My research work focuses on applying bioinformatics, biostatistics, and systems biology tools to analyze multi-omics (mRNA, miRNA, SNP-array) profiles in livestock animals to identify molecular markers, functional mutations, and regulatory networks associated with complex phenotypes.
