Marcelo Heidemann

Professor at the Joinville School of Technology of Federal University of Santa Catarina. He has a degree in Civil Engineering at the Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina (2008). Master and PhD in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Geotechnics at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2011). Reviewer of the journals Bulletin of Engineering Geology and the Environment and Construction and Building Materials. He supervises the Soil Mechanics Laboratory of the Joinville School of Technology and the InfraTec academic competition team. He is president of the Paraná-Santa Catarina sector of the Brazilian Association of Soil Mechanics. He has experience in the field of Geotechnics and sustainability, working mainly on the following topics: laboratory tests, behavior of residual soils, slope stability, geotechnical applications of waste foundry sands and other industrial waste.

Professor no Centro Tecnológico de Joinville, da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. É graduado em Engenharia Civil pela Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina (2008). Tem mestrado em Engenharia Civil com ênfase em Geotecnia pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2011) e doutorado em Engenharia Civil com ênfase em Geotecnia pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2015). Atualmente é revisor dos periódicos: Bulletin of Engineering Geology and the Environment e Construction and Building Materials. Supervisiona o Laboratório de Mecânica dos Solos do Centro Tecnológico de Joinville e a equipe de Competição Acadêmica InfraTec. É presidente do Núcleo Paraná-Santa Catarina da Associação Brasileira de Mecânica dos Solos. Tem experiência na área de Geotecnia e sustentabilidade, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: ensaios de laboratório, comportamento de solos residuais, estabilidade de encostas e taludes, aplicações geotécnicas de areias descartadas de fundição e outros resíduos industriais.
