Sílvia Mayumi Takey

Graduated in Production Engineering from the University of São Paulo (2011). Has experience in the area of ​​Production Engineering, with emphasis on Production Engineering. Master in Production Engineering at the University of São Paulo. Since 2014, is the Executive Director of DEV Tecnologia, a spin-off design house from POLI-USP, which outsources R&D to develop innovative Internet of Things (IoT) products, with high expertise in hardware, firmware and software, and has more than 60 customers such as Intelbras, Positivo Informática, Samsung and Control iD. Lead researcher of the research project "Empowerment of the female reference adult, through a digital course, to play with the children during the domestic routine." within the context of the BEM - Brincar Teaches the Change program. The BEM (Play Teaching to Change) Program is supported by iLab Early Childhood, an initiative of the Nucleus Science for Childhood with support from Omidyar Network, Instituto Natura and Instituto Sonho Grande. ILab is part of the innovation portfolio of FOI - Frontiers of Innovation (video of the initiative: https://youtu.be/nagfcqbNkUY). The BEM aims to enable the female reference adult in families from the periphery of São Paulo to play with their children (initially between 1 and 2 years of age) in a way that is integrated with the domestic routine and suitable for the overall development of children through content distributed via smartphone. We had very promising results in the pilot with 12 families in terms of child development and improving the quality of the dyad interaction.

Possui graduação em Engenharia de Produção pela Universidade de São Paulo (2011). Tem experiência na área de Engenharia de Produção, com ênfase em Engenharia de Produção. É mestre em Engenharia de Produção na Universidade de São Paulo. Desde 2014 é Sócia Diretora Executiva da DEV Tecnologia, design house spin off da POLI-USP que faz outsourcing de P&D para desenvolvimento de produtos inovadores em Internet as Coisas (IoT), com elevado expertise em hardware, firmware e software e possui mais de 60 clientes como Intelbras, Positivo Informática, Samsung e Control iD. Foi pesquisadora principal de projeto de pesquisa "O empoderamento do adulto de referência feminino, por meio de curso digital, para brincar com as crianças durante a rotina doméstica." dentro do contexto do Programa BEM - Brincar Ensina a Mudar. O Programa BEM (Brincar Ensina a Mudar) é apoiado pelo iLab Primeira Infância, uma iniciativa do Núcleo Ciência Pela Infância com apoio de Omidyar Network, Instituto Natura e Instituto Sonho Grande. O iLab faz parte do portfólio de inovação do FOI - Frontiers of Innovation (vídeo da iniciativa: https://youtu.be/nagfcqbNkUY). O BEM visa a capacitação do adulto de referência feminino em famílias da periferia de São Paulo a brincar com seus filhos (inicialmente entre 1 e 2 anos de idade) de forma integrada com a rotina doméstica e adequada para o desenvolvimento global infantil, por meio de conteúdo online distribuído via smartphone. Tivemos resultados muito promissores no piloto com 12 famílias em termos de desenvolvimento da criança e melhoria da qualidade da interação da díade.
