Taila Suian Idzi

Artist researcher and teacher. PhD in Arts from the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Minas Gerais in the line of research Plastic, Visual and Interarts, under the guidance of Professor Dr. Maria do Carmo de Freitas Veneroso and member of the research group CALLIGRAPHIES AND SCRIPTURES: Dialogue and intertext in the writing process in contemporary art. She carried out a doctoral internship funded by the Capes Print program at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, under the guidance of Professor Dr. João Paulo de Araújo Queiroz, from June to December 2022, having carried out researchs on self-writing and wandering in the Collection of Artists' Books and Independent Editions of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. She holds a master's degree in Education from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul-UFRGS (2014-2016), in the research line Ethics, Alterity and Language in Education, having integrated the Center for Studies in Media, Education and Subjectivity (NEMES / UFRGS). She graduated with a bachelor's degree (2014) and a degree (2012) in Visual Arts from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, having received an academic laureate for her excellent performance in the Degree in Visual Arts course. Dedicated to research, teaching and artistic production, investigating the creation of relationships with oneself by subjects in contact with art as a form of life and resistance, traversing the links between art and life, word and image, oneself and the another, based on means such as metal engraving, serigraphy, photography, video and, more recently, the production of artist books. Based on these means and themes, she has been presenting works in collective and individual exhibitions, in cities such as Lajeado / RS, Montenegro / RS, Novo Hamburgo / RS, Porto Alegre / RS and Recife / PE. Artista pesquisadora e professora. Doutora em Artes pela Escola de Belas Artes da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais na linha de pesquisa Artes Plásticas, Visuais e Interartes, sob orientação da Professora Dra. Maria do Carmo de Freitas Veneroso e membro do grupo de pesquisa CALIGRAFIAS E ESCRITURAS: Diálogo e intertexto no processo escritural na arte contemporânea. Realizou estágio doutoral financiado pelo programa Capes Print na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, sob orientação do Professor Dr. João Paulo de Araújo Queiroz, no período de junho a dezembro de 2022, tendo realizado pesquisas sobre escritas de si e errância na Coleção de Livros de Artista e Edições Independentes da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. É mestra em Educação pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS (2014-2016), na linha de pesquisa Ética, Alteridade e Linguagem na Educação, tendo integrado o o Núcleo de Estudos em Mídia, Educação e Subjetividade (NEMES/UFRGS). Formou-se bacharela (2014) e licenciada (2012) em Artes Visuais pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, tendo recebido láurea acadêmica por seu excelente desempenho no curso de Licenciatura em Artes Visuais. Dedica-se à pesquisa, à docência e à produção artística investigando a criação de relações consigo pelos sujeitos em contato com a arte como forma de vida e de resistência, percorrendo os elos entre arte e vida, palavra e imagem, o si mesmo e o outro, a partir de meios como a gravura em metal, a serigrafia, a fotografia, o vídeo e mais recentemente, na produção de livros de artista. A partir desses meios e temáticas, vem apresentando trabalhos em exposições coletivas e individuais, em cidades como Lajeado/RS, Montenegro/RS, Novo Hamburgo/RS, Porto Alegre/RS e Recife/PE.
