Mariana Kuhn de Oliveira

Postdoctoral fellow at the International Postdoctoral Program and the Law and Democracy Nucleous at Cebrap. At the moment, Mariana is a visiting researcher at the Ruhr University, Bochum in the area of practical philosophy. She holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Law from UFRGS, with a research period at the University of California, Berkeley. She also holds a Master's degree in Philosophy and a Bachelor's degree in Law, both from UFRGS. She has received funding from CAPES and Fulbright. Her Ph.D. thesis in Philosophy received Honorable Mention in the Brazilian Network of Women Philosophers Award and was also nominated for the CAPES Thesis Award and the ANPOF Award. She previously worked as a professor and coordinator of the Law Program at UniRitter. She has expertise in Political Theory and Law, particularly in the theories of Thomas Hobbes, John Rawls, and Axel Honneth, as well as in legal education.

Pós-doutoranda no International Postdoctoral Program do Cebrap e vinculada ao Núcleo de Direito e Democracia da instituição. No momento, realiza estágio pós-doutoral na Universidade Ruhr, Bochum, na Alemanha na área de filosofia prática. É doutora em Filosofia e em Direito pela UFRGS, com período sanduíche na Universidade da Califórnia, Berkeley. É Mestra em Filosofia e graduada em Direito também pela UFRGS. Foi bolsista da CAPES e da Fulbright. Sua tese em Filosofia ganhou Menção Honrosa no Prêmio Rede Brasileira de Mulheres Filósofas, tendo sido indicada também ao Prêmio Capes de Tese e ao Prêmio ANPOF. Foi professora e coordenadora do Curso de Direito da UniRitter. Tem experiência nas áreas de Teoria Política e do Direito, especialmente nas teorias de Thomas Hobbes, John Rawls e Axel Honneth, e de ensino do Direito.
