Luiza Antunes de Castro

Graduated in Biological Sciences (BSc) from the Federal University of Viçosa - UFV (2006) . Obtained a master's degree (2008) and PhD (2013) in Science, the Graduate Diploma in Basic and Applied Immunology Program, concentration area Pathogenic Bioagents the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto , University of São Paulo - USP . Participated in the Yale 's International Training Center for Global Infectious Diseases Research (ITC- GIDR) in 2009 as a Summer Fellow, Yale University, USA. Currently carrying out postdoctoral studies at the Microbiology and Immunology Department at the University of Michigan, USA. Has experience in molecular biology, with emphasis on the study of animal viruses and humans, acting on the following topics: Molecular diagnosis and serologic, evolution and viral immunopathogenesis.

Possui graduação em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa - UFV (2006). Obteve o título de mestre (2008) e doutor (2013) em Ciências, pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Imunologia Básica e Aplicada pela Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto (FMRP), USP. Participou do Yale's International Training Center for Global Infectious Diseases Research (ITC-GIDR) em 2009 como Summer Fellow, Universidade de Yale, EUA. Realizou pós-doutorado no Microbiology and Immunology Department da University of Michigan, EUA. Atualmente é pós-doutoranda na FMRP, USP. Tem experiência na área de biologia molecular, com ênfase no estudo de vírus animais e humanos, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: diagnóstico molecular e sorológico, evolução e imunopatogenese viral.
