Ângela Barbour is a visual artist and independent curator, IAPMA (International Association of Hand Paper makers and Paper Artists), Exhibitions Coordinator, elected for the 2019-22 term and re-elected for 2022-25; Fabricademy Global Instructor since 2018, Member of the organizing team for 3D Fashion WeekLat, Fab Women Conference event and RFLB representative at RedLat. CEO and founder of Ellora Ateliê, Fabricademy's Node in Brazil. PhD in Visual Arts from the Arts Institute of UNICAMP (2013), under the supervision of Lygia Arcuri Eluf; Master in Arts from the School of Communications and Arts at USP (2002) under the guidance of Evandro Carlos Jardim and a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the same school (1989), she also has a degree in Pharmacy (1979) and Biochemistry (1981) from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences from USP and graduation from the Fabricademy course, or Textile and Technology Academy, accredited by the Fab Foundation and MIT, in 2018 in Toulouse. She worked as a Scientific Researcher at the Butantan Institute between 1981 and 1988, Coordinator of the Plastic Arts Center at ARTIUM studios between 1988 and 2000 and Professor at the Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo from 2004 to 2008, where she also held the position of Coordinator of the Bachelor's Course in Visual Arts and as an Advisor to Institutional Partnerships and Curatorship at the Unicentro Rectory. She worked at Fundação Memorial da América Latina, from 2000 to 2015 where she was Senior Cultural Artistic Producer, Head of the Cultural Workshops Division and Manager of the Marta Traba de Arte Latino-Americana Gallery. At the Memorial Foundation of Latin America. was one of the creators of the Open Sky Project that aimed at Attention to People with Special Needs, having developed an image treatment methodology for the production of tactile images for the visually impaired, the result of this work was incorporated into the Louvre Museum collection as a work of art. art. At Galeria Marta Traba do Memorial she also implemented the MemoFabLab, which was the First Public and Free Community Digital Fabrication Laboratory in Brazil. In 2015, she was invited to implement the Porto Seguro Cultural Space as Executive Director, accompanying and advising the construction work of the building, conceiving the concept of the place, and executing the complete implementation of the project, training and training of the teams and programming, where she also implemented PortoFabLab dedicated to the Arts. In 2018, graduated from Fabricademy, she becomes a Global Instructor of Fabricademy, guiding students from many countries such as Uruguay, Greece, United States, Brazil, during the course and in the creation, development and completion of their final project, at Fabricademy. As a visual artist she has already presented her work in more than 20 countries on five continents, having been selected and presented a performance at the opening of the Shanghai international Paper Art Biennial in 2019, the year in which she also participated in an artist residency in India and Nepal. more than 200 exhibitions, and even during the Pandemic, she organized exhibitions in Tasmania, Shanghai, Denmark, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador and Spain. work at 3D Fashion Week in Peru, Digital Fashion Night in Rome, 5th Digital expo in Egypt. She has given conferences in Egypt, Bulgaria, Argentina, Ecuador and Peru. She is the creator and curator of the Postal Artist Books project, which brought together 76 artists from 36 countries in an artist book exchange during the pandemic, which today form the International Artist Book Library, whose collection has already been exposed in Brazil, Argentina and Ecuador. He has experience in the areas of Arts, Digital Fabrication, Cultural Production, BioDesign, Biochromes, production of Paper from waste, production of tactile images and expresses his artistic production through interventions, installations, performances, photo and video.

Doutora em Artes Visuais pelo Instituto de Artes da UNICAMP (2013), sob orientação de Lygia Arcuri Eluf; Mestre em Artes pela Escola de Comunicações e Artes da USP (2002) sob orientação de Evandro Carlos Jardim e bacharel e licenciada em Artes Plásticas pela mesma escola (1989), possui também graduação em Farmácia (1979) e Bioquímica (1981) pela Faculdade de Ciências Farmacêuticas da USP e graduação no curso Fabricademy, ou Textile and Technology Academy, chancelado pela Fab Foundation e MIT, em 2018 em Toulouse. Trabalhou como Pesquisadora Científica no Instituto Butantan entre 1981 e 1988, Coordenadora do Núcleo de Artes Plásticas da ARTIUM estúdios entre 1988 e 2000 e Professora do Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo de 2004 a 2008, onde também ocupou posição de Coordenadora do Curso de Bacharelado em Artes Visuais e de Assessora de Parcerias Institucionais e Curadoria junto à Reitoria do Unicentro. Trabalhou na Fundação Memorial da América Latina, de 2000 a 2015 onde foi Produtora Cultural Artística Sênior, Chefe da Divisão de Oficinas Culturais e Gerente da Galeria Marta Traba de Arte Latino-Americana. Na Fundação Memorial da América Latina. foi uma das idealizadoras do Projeto Céu Aberto que visou a Atenção à Pessoa com Necessidades Especiais, tendo desenvolvido metodologia de tratamento de imagens para a produção de imagens táteis para deficientes visuais, o resultado deste trabalho foi incorporado ao acervo do Museu do Louvre como obra de arte. Na Galeria Marta Traba do Memorial também implantou o MemoFabLab, que foi o Primeiro Laboratório de Fabricação Digital Comunitário Público e Gratuito do Brasil . Em 2015 foi convidada para implantar como Diretora Executiva o Espaço Cultural Porto Seguro, acompanhando e assessorando a obra de construção do edifício, concebendo o conceito do lugar, e executando a implantação completa do projeto , formação e treinamento das equipes e programação, onde também implantou o PortoFabLab dedicado às Artes. Em 2018 graduada no Fabricademy passa a ser Instrutora Global do Fabricademy, orientando alunos de muitos países como Uruguai, Grécia, Estados Unidos, Brasil, durante o curso e na criação, desenvolvimento e conclusão de seu projeto final, no Fabricademy. Como artista visual já apresentou seu trabalho em mais de 20 países nos cinco continentes, tendo sido selecionada e apresentado performance na abertura da Shanghai international Paper Art Biennial em 2019, ano em que também participou de residência artística na India e no Nepal, Como curadora organizou mais de 200 exposições, e mesmo durante a Pandemia organizou exposições na Tasmânia, Shanghai, Dinamarca, Japão, Brasil, Argentina, Equador e Espanha..A partir do Fabricademy começa a ter sus obras também na forma de vestíveis tendo sido selecionada para desfilar seu trabalho na 3D Fashion Week no Peru, na Digital Fashion Night em Roma, na 5th Digital expo no Egito. Ministrou conferências no Egito, Bulgária, Argentina, Equador e Peru.
