Katia Salvany Felinto Alvares

Doutora em Artes (ECA/USP_2015), Bolsa CAPES - PDSE/ Doutorado Sanduíche - RCA/ Royal College of Art, London, UK. Mestre em Artes (ECA/USP_2005), Bolsa CAPES Demanda social. Graduada em Licenciatura com Habilitação em Arte (ECA/USP_1992), Especialização em Práxis Artística e Terapêutica: interfaces da Arte e da Saúde (FMUSP_1999/2000). Professora titular do Curso de Bacharelado em Artes Visuais: Gravura, Pintura e Escultura do Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo desde 2004 onde atua como professora de gravura/ litografia e desenho, orientadora de projetos de conclusão de curso e iniciação científica. Foi professora do curso de Pós-graduação em História e Crítica da Arte nos anos 2015/16.Tem interesse na prática e pesquisa da linguagem gráfica no campo ampliado com processos pautados em ações performativas e ou interfaces tecnológicas. Desenvolve projetos artísticos autorais no trânsito entre imagens fixas (desenho e gravura) e em movimento (vídeo, videoperformance).

Full member faculty at the Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo/SP, Brazil, since 2004, where she works as teacher of engraving / lithography and drawing, supervising final conclusion projects in the field of visual art and scientific initiation, has also taught art and new media course at the postgraduate course in History and Criticism in the years 2015/16. Interested in art based practices and researches of the graphic language in the extended field with processes based on performative actions and or technological interfaces. Develops artistic projects aiming at the intertwining between fixed images (drawing and engraving) and in movement (video, videoperformance).
