He has an academic background in Veterinary Medicine from the State University of Ceará - UECE and a master's and doctoral degree in the area of Animal Reproduction and Health from the Graduate Program in Veterinary Sciences at UECE (Grade 6). His thesis was developed at the National Center for Caprine Research / EMBRAPA-Caprinos e Ovinos in Sobral-Ce, linking the study of Lentiviruses to the reproduction of goats. His dissertation was developed in partnership with UECE and the University of Bologna in Italy. He has a specialization in Criminal Expertise and Forensic Sciences by the IPOG institute, as well as a course in Judicial Expertise.
He is currently Associate Professor IV of the Department of Veterinary Clinic and Surgery at the Center for Agricultural Sciences at the Federal University of Piauí-UFPI, in the city of Teresina, Piauí, where he teaches disciplines related to Animal Reproduction in the course of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, as well as disciplines related to the area of Animal Reproduction in linked postgraduate courses.
He is the leader of the Animal Health and Reproduction Research Group at UFPI (CNPq) and advisor for projects in technological innovation, extension, monitoring, scientific initiation, academic and professional masters and doctorates.
In addition, he is the Director of Teachers for Freedom in the state of Piauí DPL-PI, through Ordinance No. 18 of February 10, 2020 of the National Board of Teachers for Freedom, as well as acting voluntarily as an ad hoc Criminal Expert with the state police station for the environment of the state of Piauí, as well as registered with the Court of Justice of the state of Piauí as an Expert Judicial Veterinary Doctor at the disposal of the Court.
Additionally, he is a professor at the Postgraduate Program in Tropical Animal Science (a merged program from the postgraduate programs in Animal Science in Teresina-PI and Animal Science in Bom Jesus-PI) at the Federal University of Piauí.
He is UFPI coordinator and permanent professor and advisor in the Professional Graduate Program in Biotechnology in Human and Animal Health - PPGBIOTEC in association with: UECE/UFPI/UESPI/CESMAC/UNINTA (professional master's and doctorate).
He is Coordinator of the Veterinary Medical Residency Program in Animal Reproduction at the University Veterinary Hospital - HVU of UFPI in Teresina-PI.
He is Head of the Animal Reproduction Sector at the UFPI University Veterinary Hospital in the city of Teresina-PI.
He is the general coordinator of the vivariums at UFPI, linked to the Dean of Research and Innovation - PROPESQI / UFPI.
He has experience in the area of Veterinary Medicine, with emphasis on Veterinary Physiology, Gynecology and Animal Andrology, Preventive Veterinary Medicine, Histology and Embryology and Biotechniques Applied to Animal Reproduction, working mainly on the following subjects: Reproductive Biotechnologies (Processing and Cryopreservation of semen, oocytes and embryos / In vivo and in vitro production of embryos); Vivariums; Link: Animal Nutrition and Reproduction; Ovarian Histophysiology, Testicular Histophysiology, Small Ruminants; CAEV; Relation: Animal Health and Reproduction, Forensic Veterinary Medicine; Agricultural Risk Analysis and Animal Production.
Possui formação acadêmica em Medicina Veterinária pela Universidade Estadual do Ceará - UECE e pós-graduação em mestrado e doutorado na área de concentração de Reprodução e Sanidade Animal pelo Programa de Pós-graduação em Ciências Veterinárias - PPGCV da UECE (Conceito 6). Sua Tese foi desenvolvida no Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Caprinos / EMBRAPA-Caprinos e Ovinos em Sobral-Ce unindo o estudo das Lentiviroses à reprodução de caprinos. Sua dissertação foi desenvolvida em parceria UECE e Universidade de Bolonha na Itália. Possui especialização em Perícia Criminal e Ciências Forenses pelo instituto IPOG, assim como curso em Perícia Judicial.
Atualmente é professor Associado IV do Departamento de Clínica e Cirurgia Veterinária do Centro de Ciências Agrárias da Universidade Federal do Piauí-UFPI, na cidade de Teresina, Piauí, onde leciona disciplinas vinculadas a Reprodução Animal no curso de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia, assim como disciplinas relacionadas à área de Reprodução Animal nos cursos de pós-graduação vinculados.
É líder do grupo de Pesquisa Sanidade e Reprodução Animal da UFPI (CNPq) e orientador de projetos de inovação tecnológica, extensão, monitoria, iniciação científica, mestrados e doutorados acadêmico e profissional.
Atua voluntariamente como Perito Criminal ad hoc junto à delegacia estadual do meio ambiente do estado do Piauí, bem como cadastrado junto ao Tribunal de Justiça do estado do Piauí como Perito Judicial Médico Veterinário a disposição do Juízo.
Adicionalmente é docente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Zootecnia Tropical (programa fundido a partir dos programas de pós-graduação em Ciência Animal de Teresina-PI e Zootecnia de Bom Jesus-PI) da Universidade Federal do Piauí.
É coordenador UFPI e docente permanente e orientador no Programa de Pós-graduação Profissional em Biotecnologia em Saúde Humana e Animal - PPGBIOTEC em associação com: UECE/UFPI/UESPI/CESMAC/UNINTA (mestrado e doutorado profissionais).
É Coordenador do Programa de Residência Médica Veterinária em Reprodução Animal do Hospital veterinário Universitário - HVU da UFPI de Teresina-PI.
É Chefe do Setor de Reprodução Animal do Hospital Veterinário Universitário da UFPI na cidade de Teresina-PI.
É Coordenador Titular Geral dos Biotérios da UFPI, vinculado à Pró-reitoria de Pesquisa e Inovação - PROPESQI / UFPI.
