Isabela Cristina Cordeiro Farias

Sou Bacharel em Biomedicina pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE). Mestre em Ciências da Saúde pela Universidade de Pernambuco (UPE). Especialista em Hematologia Clínica e Laboratorial pela UFPE. Atualmente sou Doutoranda pela UPE desenvolvendo o projeto "Avaliação dos polimorfismos e expressões dos genes da galectina-7 (LGALS7), metaloproteinases (MMPs) e os seus inibidores (TIMPs) com úlcera de membros inferiores em pacientes com anemia falciforme".

Student of bachelor in Biomedicine at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) in Brazil. In 2012, I developed a project with patients with sickle cell anemia and cerebrovascular disease relating the occurrence of stroke with the polymorphisms of the MBL2 gene. In 2013, I developed a project with patients with sickle cell anemia and leg ulceration relating the occurence of this clinical event with the polymorphisms of the MBL2 gene. Between 2012 and 2013 I used to be intern at the HEMOPE (Hospital of Hematology and Hemotherapy of Pernambuco - Brazil). In 2014 I received a scholarship provided by the Brazilian Government (Science without Borders program - CAPES) to study at The University of Sydney.
