As a postdoctoral researcher, I am interested in EMI (English as a medium of instruction) adoption and the development of intercultural competences in higher education.
I have received the title of Doctor of Educational Sciences at Ghent University (Belgium). My research focus was on the use of English as a medium of instruction in higher education in contexts where English is not a native language.
Additionally, I have worked at the University of Nottingham (UK) as a tutor in English for Academic Purposes and as a substitute professor in English Language Teaching Methodology at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina.
I am a qualified language teacher and have taught school-aged and adult English language learners, besides higher education experience in the education of future English language teachers.
