Prof. Dr. Silas Borges Monteiro

He holds a Masters in Mathematics from the University of Erlangen (1963), PhD in Mathematics from the University of Goettingen (1967) and PhD in Mathematics from the University of Münster (Westfalische-Wilhelms) (1972). Recently retired professor at the University of Bielefeld (Germany), recently as a collaborating professor at the Federal University of Mato Grosso - UFMT, without the Postgraduate Program in Education (PPGE) of the Institute of Education (IE) and in the Postgraduate Program in Education in Sciences and Mathematics - PPGECEM of the AMAZON NETWORK OF EDUCATION IN SCIENCES AND MATHEMATICS - REAMEC. Thematic in the area of Mathematics, with emphasis in Mathematics Education, working mainly in the following subjects: Mathematics Education, Philosophy of Mathematics, History of Analytical Philosophy, Semiotics and Complementarity.

Possui mestrado em Matemática pela Universidade de Erlangen (1963), doutorado em Matemática pela Universidade de Goettingen (1967) e doutorado em Matemática pela Universitat Munster (Westfalische-Wilhelms) (1972). Professor aposentado da Universidade de Bielefeld (Alemanha), recentemente atua como professor colaborador na Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso - UFMT simultaneamente no Programa de Pós Graduação em Educação (PPGE) do Instituto de Educação (IE) e no Programa de Pós Graduação em Educação em Ciências e Matemática - PPGECEM da REDE AMAZÔNICA DE EDUCAÇÃO EM CIÊNCIAS E MATEMÁTICA- REAMEC. Tem experiência na área de Matemática, com ênfase em Educação Matemática, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Educação Matemática, Filosofia da Matemática, História da Matemática, História da Filosofia Analítica, Semiótica e Complementaridade.
