Francisco Taunay Costa Ribeiro

PhD in Performing Arts from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Unirio) (2016). In his thesis "The Tempest Essays: Project and Realization from Shakespeare's Work" he carried out a translation of this Elizabethan play, investigating the concept of project and its anthropological and knowledge sociology meanings in Shakespeare's work. He holds a master's degree in Social Communication from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (2007), producing the dissertation "Vjing: The Language of Kinetic Images and Human-Image Interaction", which investigates performances with real-time video images. He has a doctorate and a master's degree with CAPES productivity grants. He holds a Bachelor's and a Bachelor's degree in History from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1998); bachelor in Performance Arts at Cal-RJ. He is currently theatrical director, actor and professor of film direction and theory. Has experience and knowledge in the areas of Theater, Cinema, Communication, Anthropology, Epistemology, Historiography and Theory of History.

É doutor em Artes Cênicas pela Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Unirio) (2016). Em sua tese "Ensaios da Tempestade: Projeto e Realização a partir da Obra de Shakespeare" realizou uma tradução dessa peça elisabetana, investigando o conceito de projeto e suas vertentes antropológicas e da sociologia do conhecimento na obra de Shakespeare. Possui mestrado em Comunicação Social pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (2007), produzindo a dissertação "Vjing: A Linguagem das Imagens Cinéticas e a Interação Homem-Imagem", que investiga performances com imagens de vídeo em tempo real. Realizou doutorado e mestrado com bolsas de produtividade CAPES. Possui Bacharelado e Licenciatura em História pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (1998); é também bacharel em teatro pela CAL-RJ (2018). Atualmente é diretor teatral, ator e professor de direção e teoria cinematográficas. Tem experiência e conhecimentos nas áreas de Teatro, Cinema, Comunicação, Antropologia, Epistemologia, Historiografia e Teoria da História.
