Gilson Alexandre Gomes

Gilson gained his BSc in Animal Science in 2004 at São Paulo University, Brazil. In 2007 gained his MSc at the same university. During his acedmic life focused on several subjects, starting with microbiology (publishing a book chapter on the subject of molecular biology in cyanobacteria) and thereafter focusing on non-ruminant nutrition, publishing several abstracts and articles on poultry and pig nutrition.In 2007 started his carrer as animal nutritionist in Globoaves (Brazil), being responsible for nutrition and determination of feeding program for broiler breeders, layer breeders, broilers, swine, free-range broilers, ducks and guinea fowl. Coordination of 16 feed mills (producing over 60 thousand tonnes/month) and implementation, together with QC team, of GMP and HACCP. Coordination of companies experimental farm of and also development of in field trials.In 2010 was hired by AB Vista as Technical Manager for South America, being responible to provide technical advise to customers and distributors, and also to conduct local trials at Universities, publication of articles, and presentation at conferences and trade shows.In 2014 moved to the UK, still at AB Vista, to become Global Technical Manager and work from head office. Main responsibilities include the coordination of animal trials (poultry, swine and aqua), services (laboratory and NIR), commercial and scientific publications, and presentation at conferences and trade shows.
