He holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo (1972), a master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1979) and a PhD in Sociology from the University of São Paulo (1987). She is currently an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a full professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She is coordinator of the INCT Public Policy, Innovation and Urban Development and the Space Laboratory of IPPUR / UFRJ. She is a researcher at CNPq 1980-2021 and Scientist of Our State, 2011-2020 and 2021 to date. He has experience in the area of Urban and Regional Planning, with an academic culture formed in interdisciplinarity, his research is focused on the effects of technological innovation on spatial processes, in the sense of examining the particular forms of capital accumulation by information technology corporations, the processes associated with its platforms to recognize the immanence of sociotechnical networks where narratives that transform the collective subjectivity flow and result in the transformation of the territory.
Possui graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela Universidade de São Paulo (1972), mestrado em Planejamento Urbano e Regional pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1979) e doutorado em Sociologia pela Universidade de São Paulo (1987). Atualmente é
professor adjunto da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro é professora titular da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. É coordenadora do INCT Política Pública, Inovação e Desenvolvimento Urbano, e do Laboratório Espaço do IPPUR/UFRJ. Tem experiência na área de Planejamento Urbano e Regional, sua pesquisa está focada nos efeitos da inovação tecnológica sobre os processos espaciais, no sentido de examinar os capitais associados às corporações de informática , suas plataformas , formação de redes sociotecnicas, narrativas e seus resultados na transformação do território.
