Carlos Henrique Lisboa Fontes

Henrique Fontes, born on 16.01.1975 in Manaus, holds a degree in Social Communication - Journalism from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (2000) and a Master's degree in Social Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (2006). Founding partner of Espaço Cultural Casa da Ribeira (since 2001 - www.casadaribeira.com.br). Co-creator of the following theatre groups: Carmin, Casa da Ribeira, Atores à Deriva and Beira. Fontes also worked for 8 years in Shakespeare's Clowns Theater Group. He is currently developing research in documentary dramaturgy and artist historiography, staging and theatrical performance. In his trajectory of more than 30 years in the theater, he performed in more than 30 plays as an actor; as a director he staged 17 plays and as a playwright he wrote 25 works. He shared with fellow playwright Pablo Capistrano, the following awards: 31st SHELL THEATER AWARD for Best Dramaturgy (2019); 6th CESGRANRIO THEATER AWARD for Best Show; 7th BOTEQUIM CULTURAL AWARD for Best Drama/Comedy Author; 3rd PRIZE FOR HUMOR in the categories of Best Play, Best Direction and Best Text; 13th APTR THEATER AWARD for Best Author and 8th QUESTÃO DE CRITICA AWARD, all referring to the play "A Invenção do Nordeste", by Grupo Carmin. In 2022, he completes his first international tour, in September, at Mostra São Palco, in the cities of Coimbra, Aveiro and Santarém, in Portugal.

Trabalhou 8 anos no Grupo de Teatro Clowns de Shakespeare. Atualmente desenvolve pesquisas em dramaturgia documental e historiografia de artista, encenação e atuação teatrais. Em sua trajetória de mais de 30 anos no teatro, realizou mais de 30 peças como ator; como encenador dirigiu 17 peças e como dramaturgo escreveu 25 obras. Compartilhou com o também dramaturgo Pablo Capistrano, seu parceiro de dramaturgia, os seguintes prêmios:31º PRÊMIO SHELL DE TEATRO de Melhor Dramaturgia (2019); 6º PRÊMIO CESGRANRIO DE TEATRO de Melhor Espetáculo; 7º PRÊMIO BOTEQUIM CULTURAL de Melhor Autor Drama/Comédia; 3º PRÊMIO DO HUMOR nas categorias Melhor Peça, Melhor Direção e Melhor Texto; 13º PRÊMIO APTR DE TEATRO de Melhor Autor e 8º PRÊMIO QUESTÃO DE CRÍTICA, todos referentes à peça "A Invenção do Nordeste", do Grupo Carmin. Em 2022, cumpre sua primeira turnê internacional, em Setembro, na Mostra São Palco, nas cidades de Coimbra, Aveiro e Santarém, em Portugal.
