Sabina Cerruto Ribeiro

Holds a degree in Forest Engineering from the University of Brasilia (2004), Master (2007) and Ph.D. (2011) in Forest Science from the Federal University of Viçosa, with period of doctoral sandwich at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen (Germany). Currently she is an Associate Professor I at the Federal University of Acre (UFAC) in the Forest Engineering course and Vice-chair of the Master in Forest Science from UFAC. Moreover, she is scholar from the Fulbright Amazonia, an international research program at pan-amazonia, administered and financed by the Brazilian Fulbright Comission and by the U.S. Department of State?s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. She has experience in forest management and mensuration, forest dynamics, quantification of biomass in forests and policies related to climate change.

Possui graduação em Engenharia Florestal pela Universidade de Brasília (2004), mestrado (2007) e doutorado (2011) em Ciência Florestal pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa, com período de doutorado sanduíche na Georg-August-Universität Göttingen (Alemanha). Atualmente é Professora Associada I no curso de Engenharia Florestal da Universidade Federal do Acre (UFAC) e Vice-coordenadora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência Florestal da UFAC. Além disso, é bolsista do Programa Fulbright Amazonia, um programa de pesquisa internacional na Pan-Amazônia, administrado e financiado pela Comissão Fulbright no Brasil e pela Secretaria de Assuntos Educacionais e Culturais do Departamento de Estado dos EUA. Possui experiência nas áreas de Recursos Florestais e Engenharia Florestal, com ênfase em manejo florestal, dendrometria, dinâmica florestal, quantificação de biomassa e carbono em florestas e políticas relacionadas às mudanças climáticas.
