Graduated in Agronomy from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2000), Master's degree in Agronomy temperate climate fruit concentration area from the Federal University of Pelotas (2003), Sandwich Doctorate in Phytotechnics (Plant Production) from the Federal University of Viçosa (2007) and Estación Experimental de Aula Dei, Zaragoza - Spain (2006), Post-Doctorate in Phytotechnics from the Federal University of Viçosa (2008). Professor at the Federal Technological University of Paraná - Campus Dois Vizinhos, working in the Higher Forestry Engineering and Agronomy courses. At Campus Pato Branco, he is a permanent professor of the Graduate Program in Agronomy, teaching in the disciplines of Plant Propagation; Growth and Development of Plants and, Physiology and Production of Native Fruit Trees. He is the coordinator of the Laboratory of Plant Physiology and of the Teaching and Research Unit for the Production of Horticultural Seedlings. Deputy Coordinator of the Ethics Committee with Research involving Human Beings at UTFPR ? Dois Vizinhos. Member of the Board of the Agronomy Course at UTFPR - DV. Associate Editor of Revista Ceres since 2019, in the area of Vegetative and Seminiferous Plant Propagation. Current CNPq Productivity Fellow. He has experience in the area of Agronomy, with emphasis on Genetic Improvement, Plant Physiology, Propagation and Cultivation of Fruit Trees, working mainly on the following topics: Propagation of Fruit Species, Physiology of Woody Plants, Domestication of native fruit trees of the Myrtaceae family.

No Campus Pato Branco, é professor permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Agronomia, lecionando nas disciplinas de Propagação de Plantas; Crescimento e Desenvolvimento de Plantas e, Fisiologia e Produção de Fruteiras Nativas. É coordenador do Laboratório de Fisiologia Vegetal e da Unidade de Ensino e Pesquisa Viveiro de Produção de mudas Hortícolas. Vice Coordenador do Comitê de Ética com Pesquisa envolvendo Seres Humanos da UTFPR ? Dois Vizinhos. Membro do Colegiado do Curso de Agronomia da UTFPR - DV. Editor Associado da Revista Ceres desde 2019, na área de Propagação Vegetativa e Seminífera de Plantas. Atual Bolsista de Produtividade de CNPq. Tem experiência na área de Agronomia, com ênfase em Melhoramento Genético, Fisiologia Vegetal, Propagação e Cultivo de Fruteiras, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Propagação de Espécies Frutíferas, Fisiologia de Plantas Lenhosas, Domesticação de fruteiras nativas da família Myrtaceae.
