Bolsista de Produtividade em Pesquisa 2 (CNPq), Berilo Nosella é Professor de Iluminação Cênica e História do Espetáculo nos Cursos de Graduação em Teatro (Licenciatura e Bacharelado) e do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Cênicas: mestrado acadêmico do Departamento de Artes da Cena da Universidade Federal de São João del Rei - UFSJ. Graduado em Artes/Comunicação - Bacharelado em Imagem e Som pela UFSCar (2001); mestre em Literatura e Crítica Literária PUC-SP (2007); doutor em Artes Cênicas pelo PPGAC/UNIRIO (2011). Realizou Pós-Doutorado no PPGAC-UNIRIO (2017-2018), bolsista PNPD/CAPES; e na Università degli Studi di Padova-UNIPD (2022-2023), bolsista PDE/CNPq. Coordenador da Comissão de Elaboração e Implantação do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Cênicas: Mestrado Acadêmico do Instituto de Filosofia, Artes e Cultura da Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto -UFOP (2014-2017) e colaborador da Comissão de Elaboração e Implantação do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Cênicas da Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei (2016-2017). Líder do Grupo de Pesquisa (CNPq) em História, Política e Cena (UFSJ) e do Núcleo de Estudos de Técnicas e Ofícios da Cena; pesquisador vinculado ao Grupo de Pesquisa Estudos de História e Historiografia do Espetáculo-UNIRIO (CNPq). Atualmente coordena o projeto de pesquisa "Capítulos de história da iluminação cênica: linhagens históricas e modos de fazer da iluminação na cena: 1 parte A documentação da iluminação cênica como modo de fazer, formação e transmissão de conhecimentos", financiado pelo CNPq e pela FAPEMIG. Tem experiência na área de Artes-Teatro, com ênfase em Teoria e História do Teatro, História e Historiografia do Espetáculo e Elementos Visuais do Espetáculo, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Teoria e História do Teatro Moderno e Teoria e História da Iluminação Cênica.

Leader of the Research Group (CNPq) in History, Politics and Scene (UFSJ) and the Center for Studies of Techniques and Crafts of the Scene; researcher linked to the Research Group Studies of History and Historiography of the Spectacle-UNIRIO (CNPq). He currently coordinates the research project "Chapters of history of stage lighting: historical lineages and ways of doing lighting on the scene: 1st part - The documentation of stage lighting as a way of doing, training and practice", financed by CNPq and FAPEMIG. Has experience in the area of Theater Arts, with emphasis on Theory and History of Theater, History and Historiography of the Spectacle and Visual Elements of the Spectacle, acting mainly on the following themes: Theory and History of Modern Theater and Theory and History of Scenic Lighting.
