Rafael Teixeira

Rafael Teixeira earned his Ph.D. in Management from Clemson University (South Carolina, USA), his M.Sc. in Management from UNISINOS (Brazil) and his bachelor degree in Business Administration from UFRGS (Brazil). He joined the Department of Supply Chain and Information Management at the School of Business, College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina (USA) in 2017. During 4 years he was the editor of the journal BASE. He received the Career Faculty Productivity Award from the National Council for Research and Development (CNPq). He served as leader of the Operations and Logistics Management division of Brazilian Academy of Management. He worked for six years as marketing analyst and account manager at Brazil Telecom (later acquired by Oi Telecom). He worked for more than one year as project manager for projects developed in partnership between UNISINOS and companies like Hewlett-Packard and Petrobras. He was a teaching assistant at Clemson University (South Carolina, USA) and research assistant at Texas A & M University (Texas, USA). He received national and international academic awards and his reseach has been published in jornal such as International Journal of Production Economics, Industrial Management & Data Systems, Journal of Management and Governance, Journal of Global Information Management, and Journal of Cleaner Production, among others. His research interests are related to strategic issues of B2B service supply chain, B2B service strategy, operations strategy e food supply chain management.
Rafael Teixeira é Ph.D. em Management pela Clemson University (Carolina do Sul, EUA), mestre em Administração pela Unisinos, especialista em Marketing pela FGV-RJ e graduado em Administração pela UFRGS. Atualmente é professor assistente no Departament of Supply Chain and Information Management da School of Business do College of Charleston, em Charleston na Carolina do Sul (EUA). Foi editor da BASE - Revista de Administração e Contabilidade da Unisinos durante 4 anos e líder de tema da Divisão GOL da ANPAD por 3 anos. Durante 6 anos desempenhou funções executivas na Brasil Telecom (adquirida pela Oi Telecom) atuando como analista de marketing e gerente de contas corporativas. Foi coordenador administrativo de projetos desenvolvidos em parceria entre a Unisinos e empresas como Hewlett-Packard e Petrobras. Lecionou na Clemson University (Carolina do Sul, EUA) e foi assistente de pesquisa na Texas A&M University (Texas, EUA). Recebeu prêmios acadêmicos nacionais e internacionais. Tem artigos publicados em diversos periódicos científicos tais como International Journal of Production Economics, Industrial Management & Data Systems, Journal of Management and Governance, Journal of Global Information Management, and Journal of Cleaner Production, entre outros. Seus interesse de pesquisa envolvem os seguintes temas: B2B service supply chain, B2B service strategy, operations strategy e food supply chain management.
