Holder of a Postdoctoral degree in Language Policies within the Lusophone Diaspora Context from the University of Brasília (UnB), where she conducted research on Language Policy in the Internationalization of the Portuguese Language in Diaspora Contexts, focusing on Lusophone identities in teaching Portuguese as a foreign/additional language at the undergraduate level. She earned her Ph.D. in Linguistics from the Graduate Program in Linguistics at the University of Brasília (PPGL/LIP), specializing in Language, Sociocultural Interaction, and Literacy. She also holds a Master's degree in Education and Teacher Training from the University of Brasília, focusing on Reading and Writing instruction. With a Bachelor's degree in Portuguese Language and Literature from UnB, she is currently a Portuguese Language professor at York University and The School of Continuing Studies, University of Toronto, Canada. She was a Visiting Professor at the University of Toronto, Department of Portuguese and Spanish Language from 2017 to 2018. She serves on the Board of Directors and as Media Editor for the Canadian Association of Teachers of Portuguese - CATpor, Canada. Additionally, she supervises undergraduate thesis projects and Specialization in Portuguese Language with a focus on High School Teaching (SEEDF/CEAD/UnB). She's also a teacher trainer for Portuguese Language teachers through programs like GESTAR II (Learning Management - Portuguese Language), ALFA (Literacy and Language), and Grados (High School Teacher Training) - Ministry of Education/University of Brasília/CFORM. Furthermore, she has experience as Pedagogical Coordinator and Administrative Assistant for the National Program of Technical Education - PRONATEC, at the University Center of Brasília. She's a consultant in the field of Education, teaching Native Language, Children's and Young Adult Literature, Reading and Text Production, Development of Portuguese Language Teaching Materials, and Institutional Assessment, with a focus on Learning Evaluation. She has also been a Portuguese Language teacher and subject area coordinator for both Elementary and High School levels. She has taught university courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in areas related to her research, such as Portuguese Language 1 and 2, Reading and Text Production in Portuguese, Sociolinguistics, Introduction to Linguistics, Methods and Techniques of Portuguese Language Teaching, Methods and Techniques of Reading and Text Production, Literacy, Applied Linguistics, Semantics, Textual Linguistics, and Genre Theory. She held the position of (Licensed) Coordinator for the Portuguese Language program and the Institutional Discipline of Portuguese Language at the Euro-American University Center of Brasília, UNIEURO, where she also supervised theses, oversaw linguistics and literacy extension projects, and acted as a mentor. She was the President of the Self-Assessment Committee (CPA) at the Euro-American University Center of Brasília, UNIEURO, from 2015 to 2017.
