Alexandre Facuri Chareti

Doutorando no Programa de Pós-graduação em Letras Estrangeiras e Tradução (FFLCH-USP), com período sanduíche como Visiting Student Research Collaborator no Department of Near Eastern Studies, em Princeton University. Mestre em Letras pelo Programa de Estudos Judaicos e Árabes (FFLCH-USP). Pesquisa a literatura árabe e as possibilidades da tradução poética, especificamente sobre a poesia de Abu Nuwas e os gêneros inovadores atribuídos a sua obra no contexto do século IX d.C., em Bagdá. É membro do grupo "TARJAMA - Escola de tradutores de literatura árabe moderna", sob coordenação da Profa. Safa A-C Jubran. Integrante do Grupo de Tradução da Poesia Árabe Contemporânea, GTPAC, sob coordenação do Prof. Michel Sleiman.

PhD candidate in the Graduate Program in Foreign Languages and Translation at University of São Paulo (FFLCH-USP), with sandwich term as Visiting Student Research Collaborator at Department of Near Eastern Studies at Princeton University. MSc in Languages by the Program of Jewish and Arabic Studies (FFLCH-USP). I research Arabic literature and the possibilities of poetic translation, specifically on the poetry of Abu Nuwas and the innovative genres attributed to him in the context of the 9th century AD, in Baghdad. I'm a member of research groups "TARJAMA - School of translators of modern Arabic literature", under the coordination of Prof. Safa A-C Jubran, and GTPAC, Contemporary Arabic Poetry Translation Group, coordinated by Prof. Michel Sleiman.
