Daniel Fábio Kawano

After graduating as a pharmacist at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto - University of São Paulo in 2002, the researcher enrolled an MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2006), a PhD in Sciences (2010) and a Post-doctoral fellowship in Medicinal Chemistry (2012) at the same institution. After working as an Assistant Professor at the College of Pharmacy at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul from 2012-2015, he moved to the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Campinas UNICAMP, were it currently works as an Associate Professor in Medicinal Chemistry. Expertise: Design and synthesis of bioactive compounds. Organic synthesis and structural characterization. Molecular modeling - bioinformatics, molecular docking, pharmacophore modeling, virtual screening and molecular dynamics.

Possui graduação em Farmácia Bioquímica, mestrado em Ciências Farmacêuticas e doutorado em Ciências pela Universidade de São Paulo. Atualmente é livre-docente da Faculdade de Ciências Farmacêuticas da Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP. Tem experiência na síntese de compostos bioativos em Química Medicinal e desenvolve projetos utilizando o planejamento racional de compostos bioativos baseado em estudos de bioinformática e de modelagem molecular.
