In my research, I have been studying the sensory-motor coordination of mandibular movements in oral function and dysfunction, and craniofacial growth and development. In collaboration with colleagues from Tokyo Medical and Dental University and the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science of Japan, we developed a new tridimensional cineradiographic technique for the study of small animals such as rats, mice, and a New World monkey species, the common marmoset. Recent projects tackle the issue of physical and emotional stressors in the etiology of diseases.
