Laila Rowena Albuquerque Barbosa

Bachelor's degree in Biomedicine from Universidade Estácio do Amazonas (2016). Has laboratory experience in the field of molecular biology. Master and PhD studant in Tropical Infectious Diseases - Tropical Medicine by PPGMT- UEA / FMT-HVD, with research area in Malaria, resistance to chloroquine. Winner of the 1st place in the Young Researcher 2018 Prize of the Brazilian Society of Tropical Medicine (SBMT) in the masters category. Currently a member of the Clinical Research Institute Carlos Borborema (IPCCB), where acts primarily as a clinical trial coordinator (antimalarials and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, G6PD, deficiency).

Possui graduação em Biomedicina pela Faculdade Estácio do Amazonas (2016). Tem experiência laboratorial na área de biologia molecular. Mestre e doutoranda em Doenças Tropicais Infecciosas - Medicina Tropical pelo programa PPGMT- UEA/FMT-HVD, com área de pesquisa em Malária. Ganhadora do 1º lugar no Premio Jovem Pesquisador 2018 da Sociedade Brasileira de Medicina Tropical (SBMT) na categoria mestrado.
