Mirella De Menezes Migliari

Dr. Mirella De Menezes Migliari is an Industrial Designer, and since 2004 Senior Lecturer and Researcher at ESPM Rio where she teaches in the BA in Communication and Advertising, in the BA in Design and in the Master in Management of the Creative Economy - MPGEC. Her research is focused in graphic heritage, in the study of typography and lettering, and also on the roles that Design plays in the Creative Industries. Graduated from ESDI-UERJ (Superior School of Industrial Design, 1995), she holds a Master of Arts in Communication Design degree from Central Saint Martins, United Kingdom (1998) and holds a PhD in Design from PUC-Rio (2011). She was Lecturer and Researcher in the Department of Design at Loughborough University, UK (2020-2022). And is affiliated to the GDRU (Graphic Design Research Unit - Loughborough University, United Kingdom) and to the research group LEMBRAR (ESPM Rio) registered at Cnpq.

Dra. Mirella De Menezes Migliari é Desenhista Industrial, e desde 2004 Professora Titular e Pesquisadora da ESPM Rio onde leciona na Graduação em Comunicação e Publicidade, na Graduação em Design e no Mestrado Profissional em Gestão da Economia Criativa - MPGEC. Seus interesses concentram-se na pesquisa da memória e patrimônio gráfico, no estudo da tipografia e letreiramentos, e também nos papéis que o Design desempenha nas Indústrias Criativas. Graduada pela Escola Superior de Desenho Industrial ESDI-UERJ (1995), possui o título de Master of Arts in Communication Design pela Central Saint Martins, Reino Unido (1998) e é Doutora em Design pela PUC-Rio (2011). Foi Professora Pesquisadora no Departamento de Design da Loughborough University, Reino Unido (2020-2022). É filiada ao GDRU (Graphic Design Research Unit - Loughborough University, Reino Unido) e ao grupo de pesquisa LEMBRAR (ESPM Rio) registrado no Cnpq.
