Mauricio Priess da Costa

He holds a master's degree in Sociology from UFPR (2012), a full degree in Physical Education from the Federal University of Paraná (2003) and a specialization in Communication and Semiotics from PUC-PR (2007). He is a Physical Education teacher at the Municipal Department of Education of Curitiba since 2006, where he develops new pedagogical concepts based on sociological studies. He is currently a student of the Graduate Program in Sociology of UFPR with a Thesis under the guidance of Teacher Dr. Simone Meucci. He has experience in the area of social thought, working mainly on the following topics: body, culture, youth, pedagogy, breaking, dance, hip-hop.

É mestre em Sociologia pela UFPR (2012), possui graduação em Licenciatura Plena em Educação Física pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (2003) e Especialização em Comunicação e Semiótica pela PUC-PR (2007). É professor de Educação Física da Secretaria Municipal de Educação de Curitiba desde 2006, onde desenvolve novas formas pedagógicas baseadas em estudos sociológicos. Atualmente é discente do Programa de Pós-graduação em Sociologia da UFPR com Tese sob orientação da Professora Dra. Simone Meucci. Tem experiência na área de pensamento social, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: corpo, cultura, juventude, identidade, breaking, dança, hip-hop.
