Dr. Sérgio Arruda de Moura

I am a PhD in Comparative Literature from UFRJ (1992), with a thesis on the literary discourse, focusing on Brazilian fiction of the 1980?s. I am interested in the cultural and social phenomenon that characterizes a particular literature, considering this as a vast discursive field, full of references that work in the game creation and circulation of texts. Also, because of my training in Communication (Journalism) from the Catholic University of Pernambuco (1982), I deal with cultural issues in the field of journalistic discourse, notably the chronic. I have a degree in Literature (English and Portuguese), at Federal University of Pernambuco (1981), with a Masters in Literature from the same University (1986). I am an Associate Professor and chair in the Center for Human Sciences (UENF). I have experience in the area of linguistics, with an emphasis on Discourse Analysis, and act primarily within the following themes: language, speech, discourse and city analysis in which I have supervised about 30 dissertations at the UENF Graduate Program in Cognition and Language (Campos-RJ). I completed post-doctoral degree at the University of Paris XII - Val de Marne, in February 2009 about chronic and literary and journalistic field.

Possui graduação em Comunicação Social Jornalismo pela Universidade Católica de Pernambuco (1982), graduação em Letras Inglês e Português pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1980), graduação em Letras - Bacharelado Inglês pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1981), mestrado em Letras pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1986) e doutorado em Letras (Ciência da Literatura) pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1992). Atualmente é bolsista cederj- consórcio cecierj da Fundação Centro de Ciências e Educação Superior à Distância do Estado do RJ e professor associado i da Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro. Tem experiência na área de Lingüística, com ênfase em Análise de Discurso, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: discurso, linguagem, análise de discurso, educação e cognição.
