Alex Alvarez Silva

Level 2 Associate Professor at the Federal University of Western Bahia (UFOB) - Reitor Edgard Santos Campus, in Barreiras (BA). PhD in History (2023) from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). Master's degree (2009), Bachelor's degree (2006) and Graduated (2005) in History from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). In teaching, he works in disciplines related to Theory and History of Historiography, Brazilian Historiography, and History Teaching.In research, he has experience in Brazilian Historiography and Historical Culture in Digital Games. Currently, he is part of the research groups "Virtual Communities - IF Baiano" and "Identity, Culture, and Memory." He has also worked in the field of teacher training in history, both as Local Coordinator of the History Teaching Degree course of the Plataforma Freire (PARFOR) at ICADS/UFBA and as Area Coordinator of the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID).

Mestre, (2009) bacharel (2006) e licenciado (2005) em História pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). No ensino, atua em disciplinas sobre Teoria e História da Historiografia, Historiografia Brasileira e Ensino de História. Na pesquisa, possui experiência em Historiografia Brasileira e em Cultura Histórica em Jogos Digitais. Atualmente, participa dos grupos de pesquisa "Comunidades Virtuais - IF Baiano" e "Identidade, cultura e memória". Atuou também no campo da formação docente em história, tanto como Coordenador Local do curso de Licenciatura em História da Plataforma Freire (PARFOR) no ICADS/UFBA quanto como Coordenador de Área do Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID).
