Thauany Vernacci Brewer Pereira Freire

Doutoranda em Geografia Humana pela Universidade de São Paulo e bolsista FAPESP (20/06119-3), atualmente investiga a territorialização da migração haitiana na metrópole de São Paulo. Desde a graduação, se dedica a compreender o nexo entre deslocamentos populacionais, o surgimento de novas modalidades habitacionais e o atual momento de reprodução do urbano capitalista. Desde 2010, integra o grupo de pesquisa "Geografia urbana: a vida cotidiana e o urbano", que ocorre no LABUR (Laboratório de Geografia Urbana da Universidade de São Paulo), sob coordenação de Amelia Luisa Damiani e Odette Seabra. Geógrafa pela Universidade de São Paulo (2009), realizou parte da graduação na Université Paris Est Marne La Vallée (2012) com financiamento do Programa Bolsa Mérito Acadêmico da Universidade de São Paulo. Concluiu mestrado em Geografia Humana (2018) pela Universidade de São Paulo com pesquisa financiada pela CAPES, por meio da qual investigou os desdobramentos socioespaciais das políticas habitacionais implementadas no centro da cidade de São Paulo ao longo dos anos 2000.

PhD student in Human Geography at the University of São Paulo and FAPESP scholarship holder (20/06119-3), she is currently investigating the territorialization of Haitian migration in the metropolis of São Paulo. Since graduation, he has dedicated herself to understanding the link between population displacements, the emergence of new housing modalities and the current moment of reproduction of capitalist urban space. Since 2010, she has been part of the research group "Urban Geography: everyday life and the urban", which takes place at LABUR (Urban Geography Laboratory of the University of São Paulo), under the coordination of Amelia Luisa Damiani and Odette Seabra. A geographer from the University of São Paulo (2009), she completed part of her graduation at the Université Paris Est Marne La Vallée (2012) with funding from the Academic Merit Scholarship Program of the University of São Paulo. She has a master's degree in Human Geography (2018) of the University of São Paulo with a research funded by CAPES (Higher Education Personnel Improvement Coordination), through which she investigated the socio-spatial consequences of housing policies implemented in the São Paulo's ineer city throughout the 2000s.
