Doutora em Ciências da Criança e da Mulher pelo Instituto Fernandes Figueira/FIOCRUZ (2012), Mestrado em Educação pela Universidade Federal Fluminense/UFF (1987), Licenciatura Em Psicologia - Faculdades Integradas Maria Thereza/FAMATH (2001) Formação de Psicólogo pela Universidade Católica de Pernambuco/UNICAP (1979), Fonoaudiologia pela Universidade Católica de Pernambuco/UNICAP (1982), graduação em Bacharelado em Psicologia pela Universidade Católica de Pernambuco/UNICAP (1979). Foi Docente da Universidade Estácio de Sá/UNESA de 1998 a julho de 2019. Tem experiência na área de Educação e Psicologia, com ênfase em Ensino e da Aprendizagem, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: educação especial e educação inclusiva, educação infantil, formação de professores, desenvolvimento humano, psicologia do desenvolvimento e da aprendizagem, psicomotricidade e educação e saúde. Membro pesquisador do Grupo de Pesquisa "Políticas em Educação: Formação, Educação Inclusiva, Direitos Humanos e Violência Escolar "- GRUPEPE do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação, Faculdade de Educação da Universidade Federal Fluminense,RJ, sob Coordenação da Profa. Dra. Valdelúcia Alves da Costa. Coordenou o Curso de Licenciatura em Pedagogia da Universidade Estácio de Sá de Abril de 2014 a dezembro de 2017. Atuou como professora de educação infantil e de alfabetização na Secretaria Municipal de Educação de Niterói/RJ onde também Coordenou a Educação Especial de maio 1999 até junho de 2013. Membro participante da Red Internacional de Investigadores y Participantes sobre Integración Educativa (RIIE), UNAM, México.

He was a Professor at Estácio de Sá University / UNESA from 1998 to July 2019. He has experience in the area of Education and Psychology, with an emphasis on Teaching and Learning, working mainly on the following topics: special education and inclusive education, early childhood education, teacher training , human development, development and learning psychology, psychomotricity and education and health. Research member of the Research Group "Policies in Education: Training, Inclusive Education, Human Rights and School Violence" - GRUPEPE of the Graduate Program in Education, Faculty of Education of the Federal Fluminense University, RJ, under the Coordination of Prof. Dr. Valdelúcia Alves da Costa. She coordinated the Pedagogy Degree Course at Estácio de Sá University from April 2014 to December 2017. She worked as a teacher of early childhood education and literacy at the Municipal Department of Education of Niterói/RJ where she also coordinated Special Education from May 1999 to June de 2013.
