A dissertação Narrativas através das fotografias de quem vive a periferia: olhares discentes em foco está vinculada ao curso de mestrado do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação, Cultura e Comunicação em Periferias Urbanas (PPGECC). Esta pesquisa nasce a partir de inquietações acerca do chão da escola, isto é, das relações que atravessam minha práxis. O que será que meus olhos observam, mas não captam? Que histórias são silenciadas e inviabilizadas no frenesi da rotina escolar? Para responder a estas questões, foram empreendidas oficinas fotográficas. Ao trabalhar com a potência da imagem, o objetivo deste trabalho é refletir sobre a relação escola-educando-docente, utilizando a fotografia como ferramenta de pesquisa e dispositivo para reflexão. Neste estudo, são apresentadas imagens captadas por estudantes do ensino médio de uma escola situada na periferia, na região metropolitana do Rio de Janeiro. A metodologia das oficinas nasce a partir da ideia das palavras geradoras e dos Círculos de Cultura de Paulo Freire. Intitulados na presente pesquisa como Círculos de Confiança, lanço mão das palavras geradoras, previamente escolhidas por mim, a fim de que os estudantes produzam uma imagem fotográfica baseada na mesma. A fotografia aparece enquanto possibilidade de expressão pautada no diálogo e no protagonismo juvenil. Através da construção das narrativas autobiográficas, a fotografia é utilizada, aqui, enquanto linguagem propulsora de histórias que atravessam categorias como escola, família, identidade e afetividade.
The dissertation Narratives through the photographs of those who live in the periphery: look at students in focus is associated to the master's degree program of the Postgraduate Program in Education, Culture and Communication in Urban Peripheries (PPGECC). This research is born from inquietations about the ground of the school, that is, the relations that cross my praxis. What do the eyes observe, but do not they catch? That children are silenced and unfeasible in the frenzy of school time? To answer these questions, photographic workshops were promoted. To work with the power of the image, this use of the device of investigation and device to reflection. In this study, the averages suffered by high school students from a school located in the outskirts of the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro are reached. With regard to the workshops, based on an idea of the generative words and Culture Circles of Paulo Freire. In the search research changes of confidence, manual bids of images-generators, the options chosen by him, are the applications taken from an image. A marriage can have the same expression, without dialogue and without juvenile protagonism. Through the construction of autobiographical narratives, photography is a type of language that propels the classes that translate as school, family, identity and affectivity.
