O presente trabalho surge do interesse pelas descobertas poéticas e filiações artísticas desenvolvidas a partir da relação de amizade entre Oswaldo Goeldi e Alfred Kubin. Através de correspondências e trabalhos trocados entre eles ao longo de vinte e seis anos, nota-se novas possibilidades de leitura da obra de ambos os artistas ainda não amplamente explorada na historiografia da arte brasileira. Sob a premissa de que tal encontro tenha impactado e sido fundamental para o desenvolvimento e entendimento que ambos construíram de suas obras, como os próprios repetiram inúmeras vezes, a pesquisa se debruça na investigação de como tais personalidades perceberam, no contato estabelecido, mestre e discípulos tão fiéis, mesmo que, ao longo dos anos, tenham desenvolvido obras tão distintas
The present essay arises from the interest in poetic discoveries and artistic affiliations developed from the friendship between Oswaldo Goeldi and Alfred Kubin. Through correspondences and works of art exchanged between them over the course of twenty-six years, new possibilities of reading the art of both artists are not yet widely explored in the historiography of Brazilian art. Under the premise that such an encounter had an impact and was central to the development and understanding that both realized of their works, as they repeated over and over again, the research focuses on the investigation of how these personalities perceived, in the established contact, master and disciples so faithful, even though over the years they have developed such peculiar arts
