Rodrigo Faria

Pai da Alice e do Benício e apaixonado por culturas e viagens! PhD student on Science of Education At University of Aveiro- Portugal and Master Degree on Statistics at Federal University of São Carlos I grew up in a simple and happy rural family, and concluded elementary and high school levels in public Brazilian schools, simultaneously working as ice cream seller, cars repairing and other rural and comercial activities in my birth town, Guariba. Enthusiastic of education I believe all children can learn and "teachers who love teaching, teach children to love learning"! After 15 years teaching in schools and universities in Brazil, I decided to turn integrally to entrepreneurship, focusing on Dataeduc project. Founding an Edtech resulted in new skills and a business that attended more than 1,200,000 students from about 5,000 schools national wide. It also created a path for exploring North America and Europa following with innovation and tendencies at educational field. Nowadays, I feel very motivated, working on my Phd thesis, elucidating the importance of teacher feedback for students and how it can promote motivation, engagement and autonomy for learning.
