Levi Marques Pereira

Graduação no Bacharelado e Licenciatura em Ciências Sociais pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas (1989), mestre em Antropologia Social pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Unicamp (1999) e doutor em Ciências (Antropologia Social) pela Universidade de São Paulo, USP (2004). Pós-doutor em Antropologia pela Unicamp (2009), e pós-doutor em Antropologia pela USP (2015). Atualmente é professor associado na Universidade Federal da Grande Dourados, UFGD, onde leciona na Faculdade Intercultural Indígena (Licenciatura Intercultural Indígena Teko Arandu) e participa dos programas de pós-graduação em Antropologia e História. Bolsista de Produtividade em Pesquisa 2 pelo CNPq. Tem experiência na área de Antropologia, com ênfase em Etnologia Sul-americana, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: parentesco e organização social, conhecimentos indígenas, cosmologia indígena, infância e gênero, história indígena, terras indígenas e movimento social. Realizou perícias antropológicas para a Justiça (estadual e federal), trabalhos técnicos para governos, Unicef e Unesco, e também atuou em estudos de licenciamento ambiental.

Levi Marques Pereira has a degree in Social Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (1989), a master's degree in Social Anthropology from the State University of Campinas, Unicamp (1999), a doctorate in Sciences (Social Anthropology) from the University of São Paulo, USP (2004), and postdoctoral degrees in Anthropology from Unicamp (2009) and USP (2015). He is currently an associate professor at the Federal University of Grande Dourados, UFGD, where he teaches at the Intercultural Indigenous Faculty (Intercultural Indigenous Teaching Training "Teko Arandu") and participates in postgraduate programs in Anthropology and History. The Brazilian Council for Scientific and Technological Development, CNPq, awards him a Research Productivity Scholarship. He has experience in the field of Anthropology, with an emphasis on South American Ethnology, working mainly on the following topics: kinship and social organization, indigenous knowledge, indigenous cosmology, childhood and gender, indigenous history, indigenous lands, and social movements. He carried out anthropological surveys for Justice (state and federal), technical work for governments, Unicef and Unesco, and acted in environmental licensing studies.
