Sabrine Amaral Martins Townsend

CAPES Post-Doctoral Internship in progress at the University of Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC) in the area of ​​Linguistic Studies and Cognition, supervised by Prof. Dr Rosangela Gabriel. Sabrine is a member of the Linguagem e Cognição research group and a member of the Brazilian Association of Linguistics (ABRALIN). She completed her doctorate in Letras with a scholarship from the National Research Council (CNPQ) at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, in Porto Alegre -RS, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Lilian Cristine Hübner. She holds a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics with an emphasis on Language Acquisition, Variation and Teaching at the Catholic University of Pelotas - UCPEL (2008-2010), in Pelotas - RS, focusing on the areas of Psycholinguistics and Neurosciences, being supervised by Prof. Dr. Márcia Zimmer. Graduated in Languages ​​Portuguese - English at Federal University of Rio Grande - FURG (2004-2007). Research interests are: cognition and reading and currently focuses on the creation and adaptation of texts and/or tasks for linguistic comprehension in the elderly low-schooled population.

Estágio de Pós-Doutoramento da CAPES em andamento pela Universidade de Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC) na área de Estudos Linguísticos e Cognição, com supervisão da Profa. Dra Rosângela Gabriel. É integrante do grupo de pesquisa Linguagem e Cognição e membro da Associação Brasileira de Linguística (ABRALIN), do Society of Scientific Study of Reading (SSSR) e da Rede Brasileira de Letramento em Saúde (REBRALS). Realizou doutorado em Letras bolsa integral do Conselho Nacional de Pesquisa (CNPQ) na Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul, em Porto Alegre -RS, sob orientação da Profª Drª Lilian Cristine Hübner. Possui Mestrado em Linguística Aplicada com ênfase na Aquisição, Variação e Ensino de línguas na Universidade Católica de Pelotas - UCPEL (2008-2010), em Pelotas - RS, atendo-se às áreas de Psicolinguística e Neurociências, sendo orientada pela Profª Drª Márcia Zimmer. Graduada em Letras Português - Inglês pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande - FURG (2004-2007). Pesquisa sobre cognição e leitura e, atualmente, tem como foco confecção e adaptação de textos e/ou tarefas para a compreensão linguística na população idosa.
