Graduated in Psychology, Training of Psychologists and Degree from the University of Uberaba (1983), Graduated in Pedagogy Full Degree from the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ituverava (1987), Master's Degree in Education, Training of Educators from the University of Uberaba (2003 ) and a PhD in Educational Psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (2006). She was coordinator of the Graduate Program in Education at the University of Uberaba from 2008 to 2017. She is currently a professor in the Psychology course and deputy coordinator of the Graduate Program in Education at the University of Uberaba. She worked as a School Psychologist in the Teaching Network of the Municipality of Uberaba from 1984 to 2014. She is an associate researcher at the International Center for Studies in Social Representations and Subjectivity / Education-CIERS-Ed. She is coordinator of the RIDEP-International Research Network on Teacher Professional Development. Member of PIBIC/UNIUBE - Institutional Scholarship Program for Scientific Initiation at the University of Uberaba. She was the coordinator of the PIBID Subproject Teacher training: working diversity at school from 2014 to 2016. Member of the editorial board of the Journal: Revista Profissão Docente (Online). She is leader of the GEPRESPE-Group of Studies and Research on Social Representations and Educational Practices, linked to the Graduate Program in Education and the Research Line Professional Development, Teaching Work and Teaching-Learning Process. Leader of the Research Group GDEPRES - Teacher Professional Development and Representations, certified by CNPq in 2016. Ad hoc evaluator for Authorization and Recognition of Courses and Institutions representing the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research - INEP/MEC. Scholarship holder of the Researcher Mineiro PPM Program. 2018. Member of the Committee of Evaluators for Recognition of Diploma linked to Uniube's International Relations Office. She is a member of the PPPGE / Uniube Board and has been a member of the NDE of the Psychology Course since 2019. Member of the REED-Red of Estudios sobre Educación. Conducts research in the field of education on Teacher Professional Development in Basic Education and Higher Education, covering the themes: teaching-learning process, pedagogical practices (planning, strategies, evaluation, teacher-student relationship), school inclusion, full-time teaching, adolescence and sexual orientation.

É pesquisadora associada do Centro Internacional de Estudos em Representações Sociais e Subjetividade/Educação - CIERS-Ed. É coordenadora da RIDEP - Rede de Pesquisa Internacional sobre Desenvolvimento Profissional de Professores. Membro do PIBIC/UNIUBE - Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação Científica da Universidade de Uberaba. Foi coordenadora do Subprojeto do PIBID Formação de professores: trabalhando a diversidade na escola de 2014 a 2016. Membro do corpo editorial do Periódico: Revista Profissão Docente (Online). É líder do GEPRESPE - Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas sobre Representações Sociais e Práticas Educativas, vinculado ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação e da Linha de Pesquisa Desenvolvimento Profissional, Trabalho Docente e Processo Ensino-Aprendizagem. Desenvolve pesquisas no campo da educação sobre Desenvolvimento Profissional Docente na Educação Básica e Ensino Superior, abarcando as temáticas: processo ensino-aprendizagem, práticas pedagógicas (planejamento, estratégias, avaliação, relação professor-aluno), inclusão escolar, ensino de tempo integral, adolescência e orientação sexual.
