José Adjailson Uchôa Fernandes

English professor at the Department of Language and Literature of the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA). PhD. in Linguistic and Literary Studies in English at University of São Paulo (USP/2015). MA in the mentioned program (2008) and BA - English (2004) at this same institution. His studies draw on the issues of representations and of otherness in cyberspace in the Teaching of Foreign Languages. Interested in issues related to cyberculture and its subjectivity and identification processes, especially, those related to the subject-language relationship (L1 and FL) in the context of teaching and learning.Currently develops doctoral research project, having the so-called "Jornadas de Junho de 2013" as its main object of study, aiming reflection on their relationship to otherness and the conceptions of nation and political participation in social networks.

É professor de Língua Inglesa e suas respectivas culturas junto ao Departamento de Letras da Universidade Federal do Maranhão (UFMA), doutor em Estudos Lingüísticos e Literários em Inglês pela Universidade de São Paulo (2015) e Mestre por este mesmo programa (2008) e bacharel em Letras - Inglês (2004) por esta mesma instituição. Seus estudos se pautam pelas questões de Representações e da alteridade no ciberespaço e no Ensino de Línguas Estrangeiras. Tem interesse por questões relativas à cibercultura e seus processos de subjetivação e identificação, em especial, por aquelas que dizem respeito à relação sujeito-língua (materna e estrangeira) no contexto do ensino-aprendizagem.Atualmente desenvolve projeto de pesquisa de doutorado, tendo como objeto de estudo as chamadas "Jornadas de junho de 2013", visando refletir sobre sua relação com a alteridade e as concepções de nação e participação política nas redes sociais.
