Biane Oliveira Philadelpho

Graduated in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Bahia (2018), master's degree (2021) and doctoral student (2021 - current) from the Graduate Program in Food Science (PGALi) at the Federal University of Bahia. Carried out a sandwich doctoral internship financed by the Institutional Internationalization Program - PRINT of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) (EDITAL 001 / 2021-PROPG) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) (2022-2023). During graduation, I was a scholarship holder (PIBIC / CNPq) of Scientific Initiation at the Laboratory of Allergy and Acarology (LAA / UFBA) with a study aimed at investigating the immunomodulatory activity of BCG and PPD in atopy (2014-2015). I did an internship at the Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Biology (LBCM / UFBA) on the study of the genetic variability of Haemonchus contortus populations of goats in the semi-arid region of Bahia (2015-2016). I was a volunteer monitor (2016.1) and scholarship holder (2016.2) of the discipline FARA147-Physical Methods of Applied Analysis / Faculty of Pharmacy / UFBA. I was a Scientific Initiation Scholar (PIBIT / CNPq) at the Laboratory of Fish and Applied Chromatography (LAPESCA / UFBA) with the development and characterization of biodegradable films from the protein isolate of Spirulina sp. LEB-18 (2017-2018). I carried out my course completion work at the Laboratory for Research and Analysis of Food and Contaminants (LAPAAC), where investigated the cytotoxic action of hydrolysates derived from cowpea beta-vignin (Vigna unguiculata) on tumor cell lines in vitro. I have experience in the areas of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Bromatological Analysis, working mainly on the following topics: legume proteins, protein isolation and purification, food biochemistry, anticancer activity of peptides.

Possui graduação em Farmácia pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (2018), mestre (2021) e doutoranda (2021 - atual) pelo Programa de Pós-graduação de Ciência de Alimentos (PGALi) da Universidade Federal da Bahia. Realizou estágio de doutorado sanduíche financiandopelo Programa Institucional de Internacionalização PRINT da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) (EDITAL 001/2021-PROPG) na University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) (2022-2023). Durante a graduação, foi bolsista (PIBIC/CNPq) de Iniciação Científica no Laboratório de Alergia e Acarologia (LAA/UFBA) com estudo voltado para investigação da atividade imunomodulatória do BCG e PPD na atopia (2014-2015). Realizou estágio no Laboratório de Biologia Celular e Molecular (LBCM/UFBA) sobre estudo da variabilidade genética de populações de Haemonchus contortus de caprinos do semiárido baiano (2015-2016). Foi monitora voluntária (2016.1) e bolsista (2016.2) da disciplina FARA147 - Métodos Físicos de Análises Aplicadas/Faculdade de Farmácia/UFBA. Foi bolsista (PIBIT/CNPq) de Iniciação Científica no Laboratório de Pescado e Cromatografia Aplicada (LAPESCA/UFBA) com o desenvolvimento e caracterização de filmes biodegradáveis a partir do isolado proteico de Spirulina sp. LEB-18 (2017-2018). Realizou o trabalho de conclusão de curso no Laboratório de Pesquisa e Análise de Alimentos e Contaminantes (LAPAAC), onde investigou a ação citotóxica de hidrolisados derivados da beta-vignina do feijão-caupí (Vigna unguiculata) sobre linhagens tumorais in vitro. Tem experiência nas áreas de Ciências Farmacêuticas e Análises Bromatológicas, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: proteínas de leguminosas, isolamento e purificação de proteínas, bioquímica de alimentos, atividade anticancerígena de peptídeos.
