João Vitor Rodrigues Loureiro

Doutor em Sociologia pela Universidade de Brasília (2022). Mestre em Direitos Humanos e Cidadania pela Universidade de Brasília (2014) e graduado em Direito pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2010). Integra a carreira federal de Desenvolvimento de Políticas Sociais, encontrando-se atualmente cedido e em exercício no Tribunal Superior do Trabalho (TST), onde exerce as atividades de Chefe da Divisão de Pesquisa Judiciária. É Editor-Assistente da Revista Libertas - Revista Brasileira de Estudos em Políticas Penais e integrante do Laboratório de Gestão de Políticas Penais (UnB). Como servidor federal, atua principalmente na área de elaboração e análise de politicas públicas, tendo trabalhado na Casa Civil da Presidência da República, na Secretaria de Assuntos Legislativos e no Departamento Penitenciário Nacional, do Ministério da Justiça, e no Mecanismo Nacional de Prevenção e Combate à Tortura e no Conselho Nacional dos Direitos Humanos, no Ministério dos Direitos Humanos. Foi Conselheiro da Comissão de Anistia do Ministério da Justiça (2018). Atua principalmente nos seguintes temas: sistema prisional, justiça criminal, Poder Judiciário e Sistema de Justiça, direitos humanos, políticas públicas.

Previous experiences: Chief of Staff of Brazil's Presidency of the Republic (2011-2013), Secretariat of Legislative Affairs and in the National Penitentiary Department, of the Ministry of Justice (2013-2018), and in the National Mechanism for Prevention and Combat. to Torture and at the National Human Rights Council, at the Ministry of Human Rights (2018-2022). Counselor of the Amnesty Commission of the Ministry of Justice (2018). Experience related meinly to the following areas: correctional systems, criminal justice, Judiciary and Justice System, human rights, public policies.
