Flavio Tonidandel

He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Uberlândia (1996), a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Poli-USP (1999) and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Poli-USP (2003). He is currently a full-time professor at the FEI University Center and head of the Computer Science Department at the same institution. He has experience in Computing and Electrical Engineering, with emphasis on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. Since 2003 he has been involved in and coordinates the Robotics research group called ROBOFEI. He has been a member of the Superior Council of OBR - Brazilian Robotics Olympiad since its creation in 2007 and he was National Coordinator of the OBR in 2013 and 2014. He coordinated the Robotics Special Committee (CER) of the Brazilian Society of Computing from 2010 to 2014; He was Co-General Chair of RoboCup 2014 in Brazil; Actual member of the IEEE-RAS Latin American Robotics Committee and Member of the RoboCup Federation Trustees (2018-2021) and RoboCup Federation Vice-President (2022-2023); Organized and coordinated many symposium, congress and scientific robotics competitions throughout the country. It mainly works in the following areas: Automated Planning, Case Based Reasoning, Intelligent Building Automation, Intelligent Human-Robot Interaction and Autonomous Mobile Robots.

Possui graduação em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (1996), mestrado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Poli-USP (1999) e doutorado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Poli-USP (2003). Atualmente é professor tempo integral do Centro Universitário FEI e coordenada o Curso de Ciência da Computação na mesma instituição. Tem experiência na área de Computação e Engenharia Elétrica, com ênfase em Inteligência Artificial e Robótica. Desde 2003 participa e coordena o grupo de pesquisa em Robótica ROBOFEI. Apaixonado por robótica móvel e inteligente, é membro do Conselho Superior da OBR ? Olimpíada Brasileira de Robótica desde sua criação em 2007 e foi Coordenador Nacional da OBR em 2013 e 2014. Coordenou a Comissão Especial de Robótica (CER) da Sociedade Brasileira de Computação entre 2010 e 2014; Foi Co-General Chair da RoboCup 2014 no Brasil; Membro do Comitê Latino-Americano de Robótica da IEEE-RAS; Membro dos Trustees (2018-2021) e Vice-President (2022-2023) da RoboCup Federation. Organizou e Coordenou vários simpósios, congressos e competições científicas de robótica pelo país. Atua principalmente nos seguintes áreas: Planejamento de Ações, Raciocínio Baseado em Casos, Automação Residencial inteligente, Interação Humano-Robô Inteligente e Robôs Móveis Autônomos.
