Ricardo Fabiano Hettwer Giehl
Finished a Bachelor degree in Agronomy in 2004, at the Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil. Received a Master of Sciences degree at the same university in 2006. During his bachelor and master the main scientific interest was on the post-harvest physiology of fruits. Received a Ph.D. degree (Dr.Sc. agr.) at the University of Hohenheim, Germany (2007-2011). During this period was holder of a Ph.D. fellowship from the Brazilian agency CAPES and worked in the Institute of Plant Nutrition, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nicolaus von Wirén. Currently, works as a postdoc in the research group Molecular Plant Nutrition, Department of Physiology and Cell Biology do Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (Gatersleben, Germany). The current research interests are the understanding of molecular processes involved in the regulation of nutrient accumulation in plants, as well as the effect that nutrient availabilities have on the development of plants.
As atividades científicas durante o doutorado foram realizadas no "Institute of Plant Nutrition" (Universität Hohenheim, 2007-2010) e no "Department of Physiology and Cell Biology do Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research" (Gatersleben, Alemanha, 2010 -2011).
