Moussa Reda Mansour

Moussa Reda Mansour completed his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering at University of Sao Paulo in 2013. His Ph.D involved the development of new and fast methods for voltage stability analysis in the context of electrical power systems by applying methods of clustering analysis, high performance computing and dynamic systems. This research generated over 10 publications in the most important conferences and journals in the area of the electrical power systems. Mansour started his research in data visualization during his post-doctoral program in computer science at University of Sao Paulo in 2013 and, currently, he is a post-doctoral researcher in data visualization at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign/USA and his research is focused on exploratory visualization, visual analytics, social networks mining, machine learning and data analysis. In the last years, Mansour won knowledge in Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science required to deal with current real-world problems. This is a multidisciplinar characteristic, required for a researcher to overcome current challenges in many fields of science.
