Paula Queiroz Dutra

Professor of English and Portuguese at the Federal Institute of Brasilia (IFB). Doctorate in Literature and Social Practices at the University of Brasília (UnB), Brazil. Graduated in Languages (Portuguese and English) at the Federal University of Bahia (2004) where she also obtained her Master's in Languages (2008). She Is a member of GELBC (Grupo de Estudos em Literatura Brasileira Contemporânea), a studies group on contemporary brazilian literature at the University of Brasília. Member of the American Portuguese Studies Association and part of the editorial board of Edições Carolina. She has worked as a translator and her research is on the following subjects: the representation of violence against women in literature, contemporary brazilian and portuguese literatures, gender studies and feminist literary criticism.

Professora de Português/Inglês do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Brasília (IFB). Doutora em Literatura e Práticas Sociais pela Universidade de Brasília (2019). Mestre em Letras pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (2008) com área de concentração em Tradução Audiovisual. Licenciada em Letras Vernáculas com Língua Estrangeira Moderna (Inglês) pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (2004). Integra o Grupo de Estudos em Literatura Brasileira Contemporânea da UnB. É membro da American Portuguese Studies Association. Integra a Comissão Editorial das Edições Carolina. Tem interesse em literatura contemporânea, em especial pela temática da violência sob o viés dos estudos de gênero. É tradutora (Inglês>Português) com experiência em tradução literária e em localização de software, websites e manuais técnicos. Atualmente é Coordenadora de Políticas Inclusivas do IFB.
