Scientific researcher of the INSTITUTE OF FOOD TECHNOLOGY - ITAL since 1973 and is currently general director of ITAL. He was a member of the Board of Directors of CNPq and member of FINEP Advisory Board, Vice President and President of ABIPTI, Adjunct Professor of the School of Packaging at Michigan State University (USA), Coordinator of international projects of ONUD/PNUD in Mexico and in Brazil, member of the Board of Directors of the IAPRI - International Association of Packaging Research Institutes and of CPRTI - Permanent Committee of Full-Time Regime, Coordinator of the Agência Paulista de Tecnologia dos Agronegócios - APTA , Consultant in the area of packaging of the United Nations Industrial Development (UNIDO), Organization of American States ? OAS and International Trade Center - ITC, member of the Board of Advisors of FAPESP, Director of Fundação de Desenvolvimento da Pesquisa Agropecuária - Fundepag, member of the Editorial Board of Unicamp Publisher, Director of the Center for Packaging of ITAL and project coordinator of CONSITEC - FAPESP in ITAL. Currently is Director of the Department of Agribusiness - DEAGRO of FIESP, member of State Council of Science and Technology ? CONCITE, member of the State Council of the Research Institutions of São Paulo State, Coordinator of the Forum of Directors of Research Institutions of São Paulo State, ABIPTI representative on the Board of Management Center for Strategic Studies - CGEE of MCTI - Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, member of the Foundation Forum Campinas, member of the mCouncil of Science, Technology and Innovation and of the Council of Rural Development and Agribusiness of Campinas city.

Mestre em Embalagem pela Escola de Embalagem da Universidade Estadual de Michigan, EUA. Engenheiro de Alimentos pela Faculdade de Engenharia de Alimentos - FEA, da Unicamp. Atualmente, Diretor de Assuntos Institucionais e Internacionais do Instituto de Tecnologia de Alimentos - Ital da Secretaria de Agricultura e Abastecimento do Governo do Estado de São Paulo. Atua há 46 anos na Instituição sendo 19 deles como Diretor Geral. Diretor do Departamento de Agronegócio - DEAGRO e Membro do Conselho do Agronegócio - COSAG da FIESP; Membro do Conselho Científico Agro Sustentável - CCAS; Integrante do Conselho Municipal de Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação - CMCTI, do Conselho de Ciência e Tecnologia - CCT e do Conselho Municipal de Desenvolvimento Rural e do Agronegócio - CMDRA de Campinas.
