Graduada em arquitetura e urbanismo pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP), mestre em arquitetura e urbanismo pela USP, doutora em ciências da comunicação pela USP. Co-fundadora do Instituto de Pesquisas em Tecnologia e Inovação (IPTI),instituição vencedora do prêmio FINEP de Inovação 2013 na categoria Instituição de Ciência e Tecnologia e do prêmio da Fundação Banco do Brasil 2013 na categoria Instituições de Ensino, Pesquisa e Universidades. Coordenadora da linha de projetos do IPTI ligados à área de Economia Criativa, entre eles o Cultura em Foco, vencedor do prêmio do Museu A Casa 2012 na categoria ação sócio-ambiental e do prêmio Brasil Criativo 2012 do Ministério da Cultura na categoria novos modelos de gestão de empreendimentos e negócios criativos. Foi membro do consórcio OPAALS, uma rede de pesquisa de excelência, financiada pela Comissão Européia. Responsável pela concepção do The Human Project (www.thehumanproject.org.br). Fundadora e sócia-diretora da empresa Fellicia um negócio social inovador. Autora do livro "A Virtualização da Arquitetura.

Renata is Piazzalunga researcher and co-founder of IPTI (Research Institute for Technology and Innovation). Coordinated and conceived the project in Culture Focus, funded by the IDB, whose goal was to promote social and economic inclusion of low-income population through the consolidation of an innovative, replicable and differentiated based on the principle of Creative Economy adapted to small businesses. Is managing partner and founder of Design and Decoration company Fellicia LTDA-ME, whose unique business model, designed to operate in the development and marketing of contemporary Brazilian design from the use of craft techniques.
